As advised, this event remains an un-signposted, un-marshalled ride without warning signs before potential hazards: you are responsible for your own safety. Nonetheless, we have inspected the route and share our assessment of some hazards.  Enjoy!     (SP=Signposted)

MILES WHERE HAZARD
0.8 Lights at Ludford Bridge out of Ludlow Lights not always triggered by cyclists. Take care if you walk your bike over bridge
1.9 At toll-house turning right on B4361 SP Presteigne Right turn across oncoming traffic on busy road
3.5 Right off B4361 onto lane (No SP) by church Right turn across oncoming traffic on busy road
4.1 On same lane approaching R.Castle crossroads CARE: GRAVELLY DESCENT TO CROSSROADS
5.7 At sharp uphill right off Portway/Wooferton lane (SP but no panel for our direction) CARE: POOR SURFACE FOR 1 MILE IN PLACES
10.1 On A4110 through Mortimer’s Cross CARE: BUSY A-ROAD
12.1 Lane after right off A4110 after Mortimer’s Cross Right turn across oncoming traffic on busy road.          CARE: POOR SURFACE FOR 1 MILE IN PLACES
13.5 At right turn SP Street CARE: IGNORE NO THROUGH ROAD SIGN, THIS PART HAS UNTARMACKED ROAD BUT ROUGH SURFACE IS OK UNLESS HEAVY RAIN.  (in 0.2 miles ignore both farm entrance on right & left fork)
15.5 Right off A4110 opp. Leominster Car Auctions Right turn across oncoming traffic on busy road
16.8 Right turn (No SP) immediately after river  bridge Right turn across oncoming traffic.  CARE: IN 50yds SHARP BLIND LEFT BEND. 
20.2 Crossroads SP Staunton-on-Arrow  CARE AT CROSSROADS: LIMITED VISIBILITY
21.0 When taking 2nd right (SP Stansbatch) in Staunton-on-Arrow after tea stop Ignore immediately preceding right turn to Shobdon
29.7 On B4357 bw Discoed & Whitton CARE: IN 1.1 MILES STEEP DESCENT/BENDS AT BRIDGE
41.3 Bw Llangunllo station & Knucklas CARE: STEEP, GRAVELLY, BENDY DESCENTS
41.8 After right turn SP Skyborry Green CARE: POOR SURFACE FOR 3 MILES IN PLACES
44.9 Right out of Knighton onto B4355 SP Presteigne Right turn across oncoming traffic on busy road
49.2 Left turn in Norton off B4355 (No SP) CARE: LEFT JUST AFTER CHURCH, BY OLD GRANARY, TAKEN ON DESCENT – EASY TO OVERSHOOT
CARE: THIS SECTION IS THE MOST CHALLENGING OF THE RIDE – POOR SURFACE, BENDS, LONG VERY STEEP CLIMB, BEWARE  POSSIBLE LOOSE DOGS.   NB lane joins from Right ½way up hill
51.2 Descent off Stonewall Hill (No SP) to crossroads CARE: DESCENT TO CROSSROADS IS STEEP, BE PREPARED  TO BRAKE CAREFULLY
52.9 After taking lane SP Lingen at the above crossroads Technically the road to the right is a continuation but safest to treat it as a T-junction
CARE: STEEP DESCENT W. BLIND BENDS, TO T-JUNCTION WHERE YOU DON’T HAVE RIGHT OF WAY
66.0 After left (SP The Cliffe Hotel) into Ludlow. CARE: STEEP DESCENT AND HAIRPIN BEND

Llangunllo stop 35.9m open 11.15-2pm.
Lingen stop 54.9m open 1.15-3.45.
