Not a race, but a challenging ride at your own pace. Year 18 of this event will give you plenty of ups and downs with over 7000ft of beautiful Shropshire hills, secret lanes and valleys along some the county’s most empty roads.
Make it a weekend if you wish in Ludlow town. Excellent secluded camping and caravan facilities at event H.Q. below the castle.

CATERING AT THE START. Hot bacon, & or, sausage baps or sandwiches, tea and coffee will be on sale at very reasonable prices from 7.00am to 9.00am. An excellent service for those travelling long distances and offering camping without chores!
As always, the 2009 event will pass through some of Shropshires most dramatic countryside, across wild hills, along quiet roads and secret leafy lanes. With views to die for (Although you may come close to it on the climbs to attain them!!) This is a traditional challenge event, not a "Pretend" road race. However, a certain level of fitness will be required to cope with the 72 miles and 7000 feet of climbing. The choice of pace is up to you. A flat out head downer or a club type ride using up to the full 10 hours with time for leisurely tea breaks and chat at the Village Hall check stops. Enter now, come along and have a great day in the Shropshire hills and build some great memories
